Add images to existing source - media title error
When using the Add images to existing source option I've found it doesn't give the correct title for the images.
My Census Image Title Template is
{SOURCETYPE} {YEAR} {REF} {PLACE.MEDIUM} ({IMAGEINFO})
It doesn't insert the sourcetype in the title:
There is a space before the 1911.
I've only tried it for Census sources - don't know if the same applies to the other types.
Also, not that I need to do so, why isn't place editable when I have PLACE.MEDIUM in the template?

Re: Add images to existing source - media title error
To be completely honest the 'Add images to existing sources' is something I've not really given much thought to for many years and I'd got the impression it wasn't really being used. Family Historian got a lot better at handling images and so the need for this facility reduced. I'll have a look at these points you've made and see if I can fix them for the next version.
Cheers

Re: Add images to existing source - media title error
Nick, If you will be updating the add image to source feature, can you add the ability to select the source by it's ID?.
This would then mean that with an update to Mike Tate's plugin then the source could be pre-selected in FH.
I use this feature quite often to update the 1939 Register images when the redaction has been changed.

I'd also like to see it made easier to find the source - either the source record id or similar filtering method to that used by Source Convert would work for me.

Re: Add images to existing source - media title error
That is the Ancestral Sources Data Entry plugin from the Plugin Store that some users find simplifies invoking AS because it ensures the correct Project is used and an Individual is preselected, etc.
I am not sure if a Source record can be preselected, as it depends on the AS command line options.
Perhaps Nick can clarify.

Re: Add images to existing source - media title error
No it can't. I did spend quite a while looking at John's request a few years ago as he's made that suggestion to me before, but it wasn't an easy change to make, related to the way the source type is chosen first I think.

I'd never noticed that the plugin to launch AS wasn't written by Nick, I've always thought of the two together as a single package.
