I have been entering some 1921 census records.
I have a woman who is a widow as the head of the household.
At the time of the census she has a married daughter staying with her along with 2 grandchildren.
I created the census entry and the grid correctly changes the surname of the widowed head of family to her married surname. However, the surname of the married daughter is not changed and it is recorded as her maiden name.
Is this by design or an unusual scenario that is not catered for?
* Census entry error?

Re: Census entry error?
As I'm sure you know, you should always check the source text generated by auto-text and make any amendments required before saving. Did the daughter have a marriage date recorded that was before the census date?

Re: Census entry error?
Yes I do always check Nick and correct where necessary.
Yes her marriage was 9 years before the census. It also automatically showed her as married when I selected and inserted her.
It was more about should AS have picked it up or not?
