AS Templated source query

Post by HilaryBroadbent » 21 Nov 2022 14:47

Firstly let me say thank you to Nick for the very useful census conversion - it has saved me hours.

I do have a query about the templated source, which I have found when converting a census where the head of the household is a married or widowed woman.
On clicking on the 'Edit Source Template' link, the box that appears has the head of household with the woman's maiden name not her name as she appears in the rich text version box. See attached screen shot.

Is there something that I should have done in the options?

Hi Hilary

No you haven't missed any options, it is just filling in the name of the individual as recorded in your file, rather than doing any predictions as to what her married name might be at the time. You can manually edit the field before saving if required.

Best wishes

Hi Nick

It seems obvious now you have said it. I should have thought more about it.

Thank you for your help.
Hilary
