AS7 Custom templates
I am new to both FH and AS, but fairly advanced with software and genealogy software. I am using a project with names only. I cloned an Advance Source (Vital Record) and renamed it in FH7. I brought it into my FH7 project. It shows In Use in FH7. However, it appears I can't bring it into AS7. I can only select the Advanced template, not the one I cloned. This is the case even if I choose Template Editor, New. Advanced and Essential seem to be the only template choices, not Custom. I can understand if that is the case, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thank you.
Thanks,
Jackie

Re: AS7 Custom templates
As a test I just cloned an Advanced template and added the word Test on the end of the name. I then added it to my file. When I then loaded it into AS and went to Source Template Editor and clicked New, I can see this template and am able to select it and add it to AS. As an example I added it to the Marriage source type.
I was then able to select this template when I created a marriage entry:
You definitely won't see this as an option until you've added it to AS in the Source Template Editor first but it should work OK once you've done that.
If you've done all this and it still doesn't appear then double check that you've definitely got a green tick in FH Source Template Definitions to show its added to your file and that it is definitely this file that you're opening in AS.
Cheers
