Viewing saved images

I have a problem which is not serious but just niggling me.
All my images for various certificates are saved as jpeg files,and when viewed on pc appear horizontal.
However when I link some of them to a file in AS they appear rotated through 90 degrees. Generally anti-clockwise. Even when i try to rotate the original file and then add to AS it still does not show as horizontal.
Also when I view the image in FH (from the source file) they still appear rotated.
Not serious as I say but just a bit infuriating at times. Any suggestions?
