Replacing marriage witness

Post by Orijohnal » 06 Jul 2017 18:55

I need to replace a marriage witness entered via AS with another individual (who has the same name). As the facts were entered via AS, I'm having trouble making this correction. The Witness 'fact' can't be copied. There is no "Witness" fact type and I don't want to create one just for this purpose. AS has been so well thought through, I'm sure I'm missing something.

From within FH, click on the marriage fact in the Facts tab of the Property box of either the bride or groom.
Then click the gear wheel icon in the toolbar just below the list of facts, and select Witnesses.
In the Witness for Marriage dialog click Add and select the correct individual as the witness.
In the Edit Witness Details dialog, in the Role: field select Witness from the drop-down menu, then click OK.
Now select the wrong (originally entered) witness and click Delete.
