Nick,
I get "Error checking for update: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive." when checking for updates from the AS menu.
Happens with v5.2.0 64 bit and also happened with the previous version.
Have mentioned it to Colevalleygirl and the same happens with her.
Suggestions? AS or a PC config issue?

Wonder if it's anything to do with the recent move around here to https ?

It could be I am not sure how Nick is checking, but his sub-domain has not been switched to https so unless he was checking in fhug the https change should not effect AS.

Thanks for letting me know about this: it looks like my hosting provider had a temporary issue this morning but things seem to be back up and running now.
