Still births
I have tried to enter a still birth as a death but as there is no name, I can't proceed. Is it possible or do I need to enter the details outside AS?

Re: Still births
Add the new entry as a child of the parents with an appropriate un-named, no-name etc is how I would do it.

Re: Still births
The registration records for a Stillbirth depend upon when it happened.
Google search "How is Stillbirth registered" for details.
The FH Birth Event has an Age option for Stillbirth.
So, as Colin suggests, create an Individual Record for the child linked to parents if known.
You can also add relatives within AS by using the Add Parent/Spouse/Sibling/Child... blue links lower right, or use Edit > New unrelated individual... to start a new family.
Then AS should allow the Birth and Death to be recorded, but if not then use FH to create all the details.

I'm afraid I'm being rather dim as I can't find the "age" field in the Birth event. I should perhaps add that this is a French record where still births are registered as deaths.

Re: Still births
The age at birth is 0 so I am sorry I don't understand your question. A birth cannot happen before you are born so the age will always be 0 the date, however, is a different matter.
As it is a still birth I would record both the birth and the death with the same date and enter still birth in the notes field of both events.

Re: Still births
Colin, I think Jenny is responding to Mike's earlier comment that "The Birth Event has an Age option for Stillbirth".
This can be entered in FH, on the Facts tab of the Property box. Although the Age field is 'greyed out' for the birth event it is still possible to enter data in this field. Click the three dots at the right of the Age box to open the Age Entry Assistant, and select Stillborn.

Thanks, Lorna. Yes that is what I was referring to only I was so hung up on AS that I didn't think laterally. I'll now get on and enter them.
