Hi Nick,
Windows 8.1 64 bit
AS 5.0.0 64 bit
FH 6.0.4
Entering the first birth certificate with AS 5.0.0 (with all default options) in a new FH project containing just the 3 people entered when starting up FH results in a reproducible crash on save with the unhandled exception dialog containing the stack trace below.
Let me know if you need any further info.
Good hunting!
Steve

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Re: AS 5.0.0 unhandled exception
Sorry about that Steve and thanks for letting me know. I just tried creating a new project with individual and 2 parents and added a birth certificate for the first individual but I didn't get a crash. You've said it is reproducible so I wonder if you would mind emailing me (nick at ancestralsources dot com) with some details as to how to reproduce it?
Thanks
Nick
Thanks
Nick

Re: AS 5.0.0 unhandled exception
Nick,
First problem I've had with AS over a few years of use so no apologies necessary.
I've emailed you the FH project along with AS screenshots and instructions to reproduce which I'm able to do every time.
Best regards
Steve

Re: AS 5.0.0 unhandled exception
Thanks Steve - given all the details you sent me it was easy to reproduce the error which is related to marriage details referred to in birth entries. This should be fixed in the next version - for now, don't enter the marriage details and them afterwards manually in Family Historian.
Best wishes
Nick

Thanks for a quick response Nick,
I'll add marriage info from birth certs in FH rather than AS for now.
Best regards
Steve
