AS Installed Twice

The thread AS Plug in v 4.1 (11193) and my own experiments indicate that an AS 32-bit Version and AS 64-bit Version can both be installed simultaneously with either the same or different Version numbers.

The snag is they share the same Windows Registry keys, and Ancestral Sources settings folder, with potentially dire consequences.

Should the AS installation process check the old installation path, and complain if it is different from the current installation path?

It could either automatically uninstall the old version, or perhaps refuse to install until the old version is manually uninstalled.
