Font Issues

I'm not sure if this is a problem with AS 4.0 or with my particular setup (Win 8.1 running under Parallels on an iMac) but the labels are overlapping the text input areas. I have tried several fonts but always get the same problem. As you can see, this is how it looks with Arial 8pt.

Having just installed AS v4, I see the same effect as Gerry, only on Deaths and Burials.
PC with Win 7 Pro 64bit, default AS fonts etc.

Apologies for the problem you're having. I suspect you have a higher than normal Windows DPI (dots per inch) setting. I admit I've not done any testing of higher DPI settings and I guess the beta testers didn't either. If you check the setting I think you may have it set at 125% - please see if the problem disappears if you set it to 100%. To do this, right-click on the desktop and select Screen Resolution and then click on Make text and other items larger or smaller and then set it to 100%.
I can do some work for a future update to improve this situation but that probably won't be immediately.
Best wishes
Nick

Spot on Nick.
I've just switched from 100% to 125% and the effect shown above is evident throughout all AS screens & tabs.
Switching back to 100% restores normality.
[EDIT] I have deleted the postings about MS .NET as they are pointless.

Thanks, Nick. That seems to have sorted two problems. First AS now displays properly and second it has given me a larger screen to work in. I hadn't changed the Windows DPI so it must have been the default but I would never have found that setting without you help so double thanks!
Have still to try out the AS for real but everything is now looking OK.
Best wishes,
Gerry

I've just released a minor update to Ancestral Sources, version 4.0.1, which includes some improvements so that it should be more usable to users with larger fonts or higher Windows scaling.
Best wishes
Nick
