I had to reinstal AS and FH now when I add a census entry I get this in the auto text box I seem to have either ticked a box that I shouldn't or missed ticking something I should have ticked .it's very tedious to remove them all manually

Firstly to help us, could you please use the User Control Panel link at the top of this page, and on its Profile tab select your Family Historian version.
Regarding AS Auto Text commas, there is an option in Tools > Options > Census settings for Grid Column Separator that defaults to Comma ,.
Usually, when AS is reinstalled it recovers such settings from the Windows Registry but I suspect that may have been reset.
Had you used the AS Tools > Backup A.S. Options command originally you could now use the Tools > Restore A.S. Options command to get ALL your Windows Registry settings back.
Remember that other customisations, templates and settings are saved in the Ancestral Sources folders defined in Tools > Options > General settings.
As the AS Help says:

BTW: If you are using FH V5 then the Search and Replace Plugin should make short work of replacing the commas. It is highly recommended that you include all 3 of the above folders in your regular hard-drive backups to external media.

So, when you get everything setup, don't forget to put the Ancestral Sources folder into Dropbox too, after using Tools > Backup A.S. Options.
Also, while on the subject of preserving settings, do use the Backup and Restore Family Historian Settings Plugin, and put its folder into Dropbox too.
I don't understand why you are talking about 'spaces between words'.
None of the AS usual Grid Column Separator options use 'space' as a separator, unless you put a 'space' into the Other option.
Whichever, separator you choose in AS ( Bar | , Tab , Other ) you need to replace each comma with the same separator.
To do it manually in FH, you open the Source Record Property Box and open the Text From Source edit window by clicking on the ... bar to the right.
Then manually replace each comma character with say a tab character, by deleting the comma and pressing the tab key for each one.
As I said before, it might be easier if there is a lot to do, to use the Search and Replace Plugin.
The one from the Plugin Store will handle most cases, but not tab characters.
However, my OneDrive version at Search and Replace V2.1 supports tab characters, and can focus on Source Record Text From Source fields.
