How would people deal with the following for entering with AS.
In the 1871 census I have the following Alice Ellswood head, widow 28, Mary J.Glover sister 33 and Amelia Glover sister 21
As her sisters are named Glover and shown as unmarried should I enter her as Alice Ellswood or Alice Glover?(And then add marriage info as and when I get it) If I enter her as Alice Ellswood and consequently confirm she was originally Alice Glover and change Ellswood to Glover in FH would all references to Alice Ellswood be changed to Alice Glover. As I work backwards entering the census info and none of the three are as yet in my family history project how would I enter them as related individuals?

Hope this makes sense.

I would assume she was Glover based on the evidence of her sisters. The accepted normal way to record women is to use their unmarried name (although this can be complicated by adoptions, etc.). I would create an individual ? Ellswood as a spouse and record his death as being before the 1871 census date. I'd create records for her likely sisters too and link them as siblings. Make sure you note the details of your sources (I'd transcribe them) and make notes of your assumptions. If later it turns out these people are not related then it is easy enough to disconnect them. You can rename her at any time.

Actually I'd probably look for the sisters in an earlier census first as it might help to clear up these issues.
