I have entered facts for residence, christening and education and have in all 3 entered an Address with comma separation (e.g. Number, road, ) and Place (Town, County, Country,) with comma separation.
However in the sentence produced the last comma is omitted from the last address detail so that the following is produced:-

Number, Road Town, County, Country.
How do I get FH to include the comma that I have entered in the Address line after 'Road' in the sentence. I have played around and can by altering the fact set get it to work by adding a comma after {address} and {place}.

I think you are limited to 3 lots of data in the addresses - check the Tools - work with data - places and you will see what I mean.

No that's not it because you can increase how many columns show but that does not affect the 'Sentence ' box at the bottom of a 'Fact'.

Thats something new I have learnt today.

The exclusion of redundant commas (,) in reports is a new feature of FH V5.
The objective was to make Address fields behave like Place fields, which have stripped redundant commas (,) for a long time.
It was felt by many users that the appearance of Reports was improved by not having lots of unnecessary leading, adjacent, or trailing commas.

Yes, you can now have up to 10 columns of comma separated Address fields, just like Place fields.
Any particular column does not have to have any characters.
This allows particular columns to be assigned a particular meaning, that allows the Address data to be sorted logically.
e.g. Street, District/Village, Town/City, County/State, Country, Postcode
If any column is unknown, then it can be left blank.

I think that to get the missing comma in the report, your sentence needs to contain I Have amended the default census sentence to and this does show the comma in between

Use Tools > Work with fact sets. Select the fact in the list and click Properties on the right hand side. The Help button then gives more guidance. If you experiment with the sentence template and don't like the results you can get back to the orignal template by clicking Installation Settings.
