printing or transferring records window to excel

Post by Jos » 15 Apr 2012 13:06

Have version 2.3 - and recently returned to finish the research after a number of years. And I find FH just as confusing now as I did then. I like its presentation but have never been able to manipulate the info the way I want it. Now I want to list what BMD certificates I have (and don't have)but FH does not have a field for this - just whether the source is the certificate. So I want to transfer the records window into Excel and create my own fields. Have searched everywhere on this site and the manual but can found nothing. One recommendation was to create a customn query with all individuals, but I don't have all individuals as an option. All very frustrating! If I have to do it manually it is time consuming and should not be necessary at all. Can anyone oput there help? Even printing out the records window would help. Such a simple thing, and yet apparently not possible ....

Your version is now 8 years old and FH has moved on a long way since then. The various queries available on this site and the new plug in features in version 5 will almost certainly be a great help to you if you upgrade.
