How to copy FH from my desktop to my laptop

I have used FH for some years on my desktop.  I now also have a laptop and want to be able to have FH on it.  But how do I transfer the program from one computer to the other?  I tried copying on to a memory stick but it's only copied a shortcut.
Does anyone have any tips please?

Sorry, I was suggesting you use DropBox for project copying but realise it's the programme only you require to copy.Ignore this plse.

Simply install FH from your original CD or trial copy and your license.

You are allowed to install the program on two computers, as long as you don't use them both at the same time.

To transfer your data you can simply copy your entire Project folder across, or use something like dropbox to sync your data on the two computers.

You need to install FH on the laptop PC in the same way you did on your desktop PC.

Either use the original CD, or copy the Download from desktop to laptop.
Then repeat the installation procedure, using the same licence key(s).

Your software licence allows you to run FH on two PC, as long as you do NOT run FH on both PC at the same instant.

Full installation details are at How to (Re-)install Family Historian.

That also cross-refers to how to Move Family Historian Settings & Data from desktop to laptop.

Many thanks to Tatewise and Jane.  Simple solution!  Don't know why I didn't think of it earlier (in fact I did think of it overnight after sending the original plea for help).  Anyway, it's now done successfully.  Thanks again.
