I have just bought FH Version 5. On the old programme I was using I able to download a report called Descendants of .....
This would give me a starting person and go down the generations, who they married their children etc. up to the present day. I don't seem to be able to do this.
Can it be done?

There are probably other ways to do it as there are so many options with FH.
Try Publish > Outline reports > Decendent outline

There is a 'Descendants Outline Report'. You can find this from the Publish menu on the main toolbar, under Outline Reports > Descendants Outline. For a narrative version use Narrative reports > 'Descendants by Generation'. This opens the Select Records dialog. Select the person you want as the starting point and click on the > symbol in the centre to move them to the right hand panel. Then click OK. Once the report is open you can use the Options button in the panel on the right to set the number of generations you want to include and exactly what information you want to include.

The 'narrative descendent' is the report I use most.  I downloaded V5 this afternoon and had to look around for it. It is under 'Publish' on the File - Edit - View . . . action bar. After that the names looked familiar to me. I hope that's the one you want.

Regards, Simon
