Just wondering what others do if you have a record with a lot of photos 20, 30, 50 or more? You could associate some photos with events and facts but these categories can't cover everything. The only other solution is to put them all in multimedia, in which case you produce a long list of photos that isn't very well organized (granted, naming the photos in groups can help). Any ideas?
Thanks.

organizing large quantities of photos?
I tend to have my photos (as opposed to documents) orgainised by Family name.
Documents are organised by type (+ Year - Country for census).
If you are using FH4 or FH5 then I would reccomend letting FH copy the files to the media folder, but choose the save location, thus keeping some sort of order to them.

ORGANIZE is the key word.
I guess by record you mean an Individual Record, and by photos you mean images of people/places rather than images of documents.
Certainly, it is best to associate as many as possible with Facts = Events & Attributes.
You can even create Custom Facts purely to help organize your photos.
e.g. What about a Fact called Photos or Gazetteer, which can be added several times with different Date &/or Place details.
Then attach the appropriate Photos to each Fact.
You can always re-organize the Facts and Photos as the collection grows.
Design a naming convention for your Photos.
The Title is the most visible name for any media.
On the Multimedia tab there are several organizational options via the Edit button.
The Date will appear under thumbnails, and determines the order they are displayed.
If you edit a caption into the untitled box at the bottom, and tick Use Note as Caption, then this will also appear under thumbnails.
Use the +* and -* buttons to alter the order of media with the same Date.
This also changes which photos are displayed and their order in the Focus window.
You can also devise your own Keywords to help categorise photos.
You may not have discovered that you can manage all photos and other media via the Multimedia Records Window.
Use Tools > Preferences > Records Window tab, and set all Record Type Display Options to Always Show.
Then in the Records Window there will be a tab for each type of Record including Multimedia.
The Multimedia Records Window lists every Multimedia record, and can be sorted according to any column.
You can even create your own custom columns to help organize custom sorting.
