Family Historian User Group

I need some advice/ideas, I am fortunate in having several old hand drawn Family trees from various family members who have all been dead for many years and that I have scanned as jpg files.
I have found 99% of the data accurate but there are some facts that I cannot completely verify without travelling to all parts of the country.
My query is do I create a fact called say 'Family Tree' or even use the existing 'Family Group' fact and then link it to everyone in the said tree.
Or are there any other methods that the more experienced members have evolved to utilise a 'Family Tree Chart' as a fact and source.

My first reaction is to suggest creating a Source Record for each Family Tree, and link the associated FamilyTree.jpg image to each one's Multimedia tab.
Then the Source Record can hold any details about the tree, transcripts if necessary, who compiled it, etc.

For every Individual person's Fact that is confirmed by a Family Tree, I would cite the associated Family Tree Source Record.
Such Facts would include Names, Birth Events, Marriage Events, Death Events, or any other facts recorded by the Family Tree.
In the Citation you can record the approximate Entry Date that the Family Tree was produced and the Assessment of its accuracy.

If the Facts already exist, then create the first Citation, and Copy & Paste it to every other Citation.
If you are creating new Facts derived from a Family Tree, then first use Tools > Set Automatic Source Citation.
Remembering to Cancel Automatic Source Citation when finished.
