Source Display by Repository?

Disclaimer: I'm on week two tinkering with FH, so forgive me if answers to my questions should be obvious...

Is it possible to display the source list in a collapsible tree under their associated repository? I've added a column displaying the repo name so they can be sorted that way, which is a step in the right direction, but my poorly sourced tree still has a very long list of dozens of possible sources with no way to filter that list...

It is not quite clear from your question what you want to achieve.
In what way do you want to filter the list?

Sorting on Source Record Columns as you have started to do is one good way.

Have you given each Source Record a Type such as Birth Certificate or Census Record that helps to categorise them?
There is some advice under Using and Recording Sources.

It is also a good idea to use a consistent naming convention for your Source Records, so when you sort on their Name/Title they are in a logical order.
See the free Ancestral Sources add-on that helps with this, and is an extremely popular way of adding certain types of Sources.

Not exactly what you asked for, but there is a way of listing all Source Records linked to one Repository Record.
Open the Repositories tab in the Records Window.
Select any one Repository Record and use View > Record Links in the menu bar.
This gives a pop-up window of all associated Source Records.

Another route for filtering would be to use Queries or Plugins, but we can explore those options once a clearer understanding of what you need is established.

Thanks Mike.
Given the number of views the question has had in the last few days (I'm quite impressed!) I'm guessing what I'm attempting to describe isn't possible,
which is fine. Regardless, I'll try and explain myself a bit better.

As I hinted at, my sourcing is pretty messy so I'm trying to find the best ways to clean things up and move forward. I do have fairly standard names as to what things are (and have been tinkering with Ancestral Sources with some Census Records), but I see some great benefits in the repositories. One of those things that I could see being easier would be better ability to browse my source list in whatever form is most appropriate at that specific time. As the UI already uses collapsing trees,it seems like a collapsable list of everything in 'Joyce's Personal Collection', 'Interviews' or 'Ancestry Online Repository', etc. would perhaps be something supported, but that I just hadn't figured out how to turn on. As I work back to source the work that I have (much of which is currently based primarily on handwritten family records with a few 'true' sourced sections I quickly see the possibility of my list of sources growing to an unweildy size, and want to make sure I'm at least starting with FH on solid footing.

which is fine...For anyone still paying attention, but not sure what I'm visualizing, let me try and show it:
[+]-Ancestry Website [another repo]
-Baptism Record - Joe Bloggs
-Public Member Tree - Smith, Mike
-Birth Certficiate - Doe, John
-Obituary - Bloggs, Fred
...eventually a few hundred more perhaps...
[+]-Joyce's Personal Collection [This is a repo]
-Birth Certificate - Bloggs, Joe
-Birth Certificate - Bloggs, Fred
-Family History - Blogg Family 1800-1865

In the above the repository lines (starting with [+]) could be collapsed and their contents hidden.

Thanks again.

What you ask for is not immediately available with standard FH displays.
Although I agree such a capability would be very convenient, not only for Repository to Source links, but also all the other backward links, such as Multimedia to Source, and Source to Fact.

The best method is as I described before:
Open the Repositories tab in the Records Window.
Select any one Repository Record and use View > Record Links in the menu bar.
This gives a pop-up window of all associated Source Records.

The same technique works for all other backward links.

The only other way to achieve what you want at present, if you have FH V5, is to write a Plugin to display those expandable/collapsible backward links.
However, this does require a working understanding of software techniques.

Thanks again.
While I'm certainly not skilled enough in the development world to write my own plugin to do it, it' quite impressive to know that that level of integration functionality is within the real of things that can be modified with a plugin.
