BACK-UP

Just lately when I back up (Min) it progresses as normal and then I receive an error message 'A problem occurred. Task may not have completed correctly.'

I look at the back up folder on my external hard drive see that the zip file is there and ignore the message.

Today I tried to save and it immediately gave me the error message. I actually looked at the size of the zip file and all from May 24 have 0kb.

Is this a FH problem or do I need to take my laptop to the shop?

The first thing I would try is to change the backup destination to a folder on your C: drive, and see if you still get the error.

Thanks Jane,

Saving to D Drive worked so I'll get my external hard drive checked.

The same thing happened to me today when I tried to do a full project backup. 'A problem occurred. Task may not have completed correctly.' I tried 3 different drives and all failed to backup correctly. Then I discovered the reason. I had created a report and saved it as a Word document. That document was still open. When I closed the document, the backup completed successfully. Thought this might help someone else with the same problem.

Have you updated to current version of FH (5.0.7) as |I believe there was a problem with large projects not being backed up correctly (Something to do with the way windows handles Zip files)

waltonnz ~ That backup problem should be reported to Calico Pie, as FH should specifically report the open file as the cause, and preferably bypass the open file for that backup.
