I have accidentally, and incorrectly, linked hundreds of images to my great-uncle. I want to unlink all of the incorrect images, at one go. However, I have only been able to do so, one at a time. It would take me forever to complete the task. Is there a way I can unlink multiple multimedia records at one go?
Thanks in advance.

How on earth did you manage to do that?

The quickest way I can think of doing that within FH is to open your great-uncle's Property Box and select the All tab, then each Multimedia Object link can be deleted with one press of the Delete key and one mouse click of OK.

Alternatively, you could edit the GEDCOM file.
Take great care that you have created a backup copy of the GEDCOM (.ged) file.
Open the GEDCOM (.ged) file in a plain text editor such as Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad.
Scroll down until you find your great-uncle's record, e.g. use Edit > Find for his Forenames /Surname/.
Scroll down a bit further and you should find all the Multimedia Object links looking like:
1 OBJE @O12@
2 _ASID 8
1 OBJE @O11@
2 _ASID 4
1 OBJE @O7@
2 _ASID 5

where 1 OBJE @O12@ links to Multimedia Object Record Id 12 and 2 _ASID 8 identifies the reverse link.
Delete all these pairs of lines for each Multimedia Object you want to unlink.
Finally use File > Save and hopefully that will do the job.

Are the media records attached to anyone else?

If not you can simply add all the media records to a named list and use the delete records from the list to delete them all.

The term unlink is used twice, so I suspect delete may not be suitable.
