Hello

I'm sure there used to be a query for finding individuals with no links, but I can't find it now. I've got the Redundant families query, but I don't think that quite does what I want. I know that there are children in my db who have no links to anyone and I want to find them. These are as a result of me adding them to a family and then realising they don't belong there, so I've deleted the family link but not the ind record. Now of course I can't remember who they were and I can't find them!
The orphan query doesn't do what I want either. I need a 0 pool.
Any ideas, anyone?
thanks
Louise

If you use the Search for Orphans, and exclude your 'normal' pool (1?), you can then see any people in smaller groups and singles.

I can't remember a query, but you could just have a query which checked for Family as Spouse and and Family as Child and if both are null lists them.

I'll add one to the query store in a minute if there is not one there already.

There is this old one which spots all the records with no parents recorded

The Search For Orphans Query should do exactly what you want, because it is intended to find orphaned children just as you describe.
The Pool column gives the Pool Number of each Individual.

Those with the same Pool Number all belong to one Pool.

Thus any Individual who has a unique Pool Number is an orphan.
Such Individuals are listed at the top of the Result Set by default.
So starting from the top, each Individual with a different Pool Number is an orphan.

Thank you for all your replies. I've now done it using the orphan query. It was me being thick! [smile]
