Relationship to Root

Post by rodit » 03 May 2013 02:44

Over time I have 'acquired' people who are not blood relatives - parents and siblings of wives or husbands of uncles, aunts, etc.
I have been trying to write a query to list these people, but don't know where the Relationship expression is (assuming there is one).
I am aware that I can add relationships to the Records Window, but this shows everybody.
Help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Roger

The easiest way is to run the standard 'Relations, Excluding Relations by Marriage' then select 'Run and Invert result set' from the query menu button to get everyone who is not a blood relation.

Thanks, Jane

I have obviously not seen that query before.
