I have had lots of fun editing the diagram view to just how I would like them but I'm unsure whether the focus window action I'd like to do is possible?
I would like to (if possible) set it so that if the person has the complete records set flag the focus window either changes colour or a marker appears. At the moment I would have to either flip to chart view or go through checking the parish record and census tabs. I know this doesn't take ages but I am quite bad at working on one line then getting distracted where that leads me, often to find I have complete records for the related person already. The quick visual focus window would make that so much easier.
Many thanks for any suggestions.

You cannot customise the colours or details in the left-hand part of the Focus Window, but there are various options possible in the Property Box that by default appears in the right-hand part.
An advantage of this is that the indication will appear however the Property Box is opened, whichever window is in use.
(1) Change Caption
This option alters the caption displayed at the very top of the Property Box that usually shows the Full Name and Record Id.
Click the Menu icon near top-right of the Property Box and choose Options (or use Tools > Preferences > Property Box tab).
Click the Captions button lower right.
In the Individual field at the top, place the cursor at the end of the line after the existing contents.
Enter the following text =TextIf( Exists( ), 'Complete', ) by copy & paste.
Now place the cursor within the brackets of Exists( ).
Click (for advanced users) top left and click the > button in centre to add it to right-hand items.
Select Main area for Individual and click OK.
Tick Part 1 box and enter Complete as the Custom Item Name and the Label.
Against Data Reference click <<Select and choose Individual + Flags + your complete records set flag.
OK out and a label Complete should appear just above the Spouse section on the Main tab.
If the flag is set the box will be ticked.
To set/clear the flag just tick/clear the box.
You can move the field higher up in the Property Box by using the Customize option up/down buttons.
Other flags can be similarly added.

That's fantastic thank you so much Mike, that one tutorial has given me enough information to really take things to a new level. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain.
