Hi,
I am in the process of tidying up much of my data to try and bring some consistency of formatting and source citations.
A lot of my source citations do not currently have the assessment set. For example, I have several hundred citations to a single book, where I would like to set the assessment/quality to Secondary Evidence on each of the citations. I also have a similar issue with many of my GRO Index citations. Is there a way using a query, plugin, or some other FH magic to update these records in bulk, rather than having to do them all individually?
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Simon

This should be possible with a Plugin but I'm not aware of any currently available that would do the job.

I have done a quick plug in for you.
http://www.family-historian.co.uk/plugi ... try?id=318
Select the Source first and then the Assessment you want, if you want to overwrite existing ones tick the box.
If you want to clear them select Clear Assessment and tick the overwrite box.
Please backup and check the results carefully and let me know how you get on.
Any problems remember you can use the Edit>Undo option to reverse the plugins changes.

What a star you are!
After taking a backup I have just run it against a source for a book where I had around 450 citations, with only a handful currently set to 'secondary evidence'. With your great little plugin and a couple of clicks, all 450 now have the correct assessment . That would have taken me days to update manually. I will have no trouble at all getting my all my sources sorted out now.
I wonder if this plugin might be of use to others?
Thank you so much.
Regards
Simon.

I have included a Result set and put the plugin in the store.
