I have watched Jane's You Tube video showing how to do this and have now set up the main viewing panel in the colours of my choice and also the source and spouse tabs of the property box for some reason though I can't seem to find a control anywhere to alter the top section of the control panel so I am left with three quarters of the screen being quite colourful and easy to see and then a pale corner. Is there a section of controls I have missed or is it just not possible to change this section.

I am unaware of any FH settings to change those sections.

It might be possible to change some of them via Windows Control Panel settings, but they will affect all window displays, not just FH, and may have undesirable side effects.

The little experimenting I have done also suggests that FH does not honour all those settings anyway.

Susan, I am not quite sure which bit of the screen you mean. Any chance you could post a screen shot and I'll see if I can find any settings for you.
