I have my own color scheme. If I switch between that color scheme and the default most selections work fine. I have a problem with the link color however.
-I make my scheme active in Tools > Preferences > General > Color Scheme
-I then go to Tools > Preferences > Focus Window > Colors... and change the Link color to red
-On the Focus Window the links such as "Customize View..." and "Add More Relatives for xxx" change to red
-I then go to File > Import/Export > Export > Current color scheme... so I have a backup of my scheme
-I then restart FH and all the links are still red
-I then go to Tools > Preferences > General > Color Scheme and change the color scheme to Default and all the colors change to the default colors including the links
-I then go to Tools > Preferences > General > Color Scheme and change the color scheme to my scheme and all the colors change to the my colors with the exception of the links which stay the default color
Shouldn't the Link color be reset to red? Am I not doing this correctly or is there a bug?
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Changing link color on focus window not "sticking"
It is not so much a bug as a poor user interface design.
The scenario you describe affects ALL the colour settings and not just the Focus Window Links.
Read the Help page associated with that General tab and the Colour Scheme option.
To update the custom colours they must be both exported and then imported via a file.
However, if you do that with an existing custom colour scheme you get a numerical suffix (n) added to each version.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to delete an existing custom colour scheme within FH.
You must manually adjust the .fhcol files in the C:\ProgramData\Calico Pie\Family Historian\Themes\ folder.
The workaround, when updating an existing custom colour scheme, is to Export the file to the above folder and when it says it already exists allow it to be overwritten.

Thanks Mike, that did the trick. I thought I might be forgetting a step. I agree... this is one of the more convoluted processes in Family Historian. Definitely could have been designed better.
