* Can I merge sources as a lumper?

I have over 12000 records lumped/linked to Short title: The Drouin database (Quebec/Nouvelle France) for the years 1608 - 1760.
For some reason, maybe when I was a newbie, I split my sources so I have about 200 sources that are ALL from The Drouin Collection 1621 - 1968 or The Drouin Collection 1621- 1968 but I used short titles like Baptism, Baril Marie Victoire, 1805
Is there any easy way to lump them as per the 12000 records in the 1608 -1760 collection?
I tried to add a screen shot but don't seem to be able to in this forum...Do I need to use the email messaging for that?
I am using FH version 7.

You should be able to select two Source records and use the Edit > Merge/Compare Records... command.
One caveat might be if they are Templated Sources do they use the same Source Template?
Probably best to experiment in a Copy of your master Project.
However, an alternative is a GEDCOM-only backup or rely on the Snapshots taken once per day.

Unless I've missed something, I'm concerned that there may be a lot more to this than just merging the Source Records.

In general terms (and speaking about generic, non-templated sources) a Source Record constructed on splitting principles may contain identification data in the Source Record (e.g. "Baptism, Baril Marie Victoire, 1805" in the Short Title) that needs migrating down into Citation Specific Details (e.g. in the "Where Within"). Similarly, any "Text from Source" in the Source Record may need migrating down into the "Text from Source" in the Citation Specific Details. Ditto Notes, etc.

None of that migration will be done by merging source records. Presumably it can best be done by copying that data from the Source Record to its Citations, which later on, will be copied over when merging.

This may be obvious, or it may be totally irrelevant because there isn't anything in those items worth saving, but I thought it was worth recording.

And yes, as Mike says - definitely cause for experimentation and checking.
