Formatting text in a diagram box

Post by ruthhenrietta » 23 Apr 2023 15:25

Hello - I'm sure there is a way to do what I want, but I can't find out anywhere... please help!

I have a diagram with the spouse included in the same box as the other person. I want to make the text which says 'Spouse: [name]' larger and bold.

How can I do this? See screenshot.

In Diagram Options > Text tab select the text scheme in use and click Edit Text Scheme. (If you are using one of the standard text schemes it's a good idea to Clone it first, and edit the clone, so that you can get back to the original scheme easily if you want to.) In the Edit Text Scheme dialog select <Font change (style ,text, colour etc)> in the left hand panel. Choose your required font, click OK, then click > in the centre to add it to the bottom of the list in the right hand panel. Now use the black 'up' arrow to positon the font change just above the lines for the Spouse Names. If you have any lines below the spouse details you will need to insert another font change just below the spouse names to revert back to the original font for the rest of the text.

Thank you SO much… that’s REALY not obvious… I kept trying to edit the text and nothing happened except the top name changing… I didn’t realise the change of format had to be above the appropriate line of text… 🙏🏼😊

I had the same issue as you - now I know, it's fine, but I agree, to someone new to the program, it's not obvious...
