I have the Norwegian extended character set configured in fh. Hold down the O for instance.
Now I have places in my gedcom, for example:
Øystre Slidre, Valdres, Innlandet, NO, NOR
Oslo,, Oslo, NO, NOR
Now, if in the place field, I type O, then fh will make suggestions as I type, and I am soon to get Oslo.
However, if I use Ø no suggestions will ever be given, well.........ok.........
So with the Ø in the field I do a select button and I am dropped in the middle of nowhere, and all Norwegian alphabet at the end of the list but I am in say; F entries when I select.
It is intuitive that all altseq letters should be treated as equivalent to their hold key from the settings
O and Ø for instance, should be treated the same, and the list should sort so.
does this behavior occur on v7, and is it an error or a wishlist?
Thanks.

Re: is this an error or wishlist
When I test this in v7, if I type the Ø it doesn't then auto-complete (because it showed me the accent choice dialog instead) but then if I type the y (Øy) it does then suggest the correct place.
In the Place List it does correctly select Øystre Slidre, Valdres, Innlandet, NO, NOR when I test it.
