Source and Citation confusion

Why is it so hard to create a stand alone source and add multiple citations to it. It was a piece of cake in legacy 9 to create a census for 1930 Alabama, Jefferson County then add individual citations for each page. I can't find any way to do that. And if I want multiple citations why is the source asking for address, name etc... that is in the citation. Been using Legacy for 7 years and they had an example for every feature, field etc. but I can find the same for Family Historian. The help file is not much help and there are few if any decent example video's. Don't the owners care if people now how to use it correctly?

Welcome to FHUG, Curtis.
A good place to start is the video cited in
this thread.
Be aware that FH handles sources slightly differently to many other popular apps, so it may take a bit of getting used to if you are used to working a particular way in another app.

You will also find a lot of information in the FHUG Knowledge Base. Start with this page, for example
Citing Sources: Method 1 and Method 2 where there are some worked examples of using method 1 'splitter' sources and method 2 'lumper' sources.

I second Mark's recommendation of this video. I've been using FH exclusively for about a year now and I learned a couple of key things by watching it. It's almost an hour and Nick goes into a lot of detail.
Yes, FH is different from Legacy, but it's very powerful and its sourcing, once you're used to it, is, at least for me, way easier to use.
