Hi. I would be grateful if you would be able to clarify my thoughts. I am aware of the meaning regarding blue buttons and red buttons but I am in the middle of dealing with UDF's and have noticed the "stared" buttons in the hierarchal structure of the "All" Tab, of the property box. Are these buttons just letting me know that they are related to UDF's or are they telling me something else. I have searched all Help categories, knowledge base and 'Getting the most from..., but cannot find any reference to these stared buttons.
Can I just proceed with the relevant delete instructions or is there something else I need to know, presumably they will all disappear when I have dealt with the UDF's??

Hi Phil. They are not so much buttons as blue, red, star bullets.
Yes, the star bullet just indicates a UDF on the All tab and will vanish when the UDF are deleted.

I notice that you were trying to insert an image.

Essentially, you must save the screenshot as an image file and attach that file. Copy & Paste from the clipboard will not work.

Many thanks for your prompt reply Mike. I just wanted to go through the UDF's one by one just to correct anything that they point out rather than just deleting them all at once.
Yes, I spent quite a while attempting to post that image, thanks for your advice, I shall bare it in mind next time I need to approach the forum.

Phil, if you investigate the method explained in the FHUG Knowledge Base you will see that the bulk delete does not delete them all unconditionally. You can pick and choose which ones to delete, but it is much easier to select a group of UDF and delete them all rather than one by one.
For example, once you discover that a particular UDF provides no useful information for FH then delete them all in one go.
Maybe another UDF is only worth investigating if it has an associated value, so all the blank ones can be deleted in one go.
