Counties

Is there a way of displaying the counties of my ancestors/relations where they were born, married and died ( if applicable)?
Also I've noticed that some of the towns, etc don't have longitude and latitude given to them?

John,
Lat & Long are added when a place is geo-coded. If you open maps, and show all places, there is a marker to the left of each name, which indicates whether they have been geo-coded.
Those that are geo-coded will have a tick box, whilst those that need geo-coding will have a ? next to them. If you click and drag any placename (geo-coded or not), and drop it onto the map, FH will automatically add or adjust the Lat and Long for you.

FH will show counties for BM&D, providing you’ve included it in your placename. The consensus seem to be that each place should a) be consistent and b) use the form Town, County, Country for UK, i.e. 3 parts or Columns.(for US places it is preferable to use 4 parts i.e. Town, County, State, Country.)

When I use queries to find births of people from a certain County, I use a term like Birth.Place contains Kent etc ( check FH for correct syntax).

Is this what you want?
