Custom Fact Label Naming

Can anyone please tell me where to find Fact label naming conventions / rules? I haven't had any luck yet.

The few Custom facts that I have created all end up with descriptions in the Property Box of "<label> in <place>". What I am trying to achieve is descriptions of "<label> to <place>" or "<label> from <place>" as per the standard Emigration and Immigration facts. The sentence structures are fine but my focus is the readability of facts in the Fact tab of the Property Box

I am cleaning up my overuse of Emigration and Immigration facts, many of which are really movements of people in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries between locations on the west and east coast of Australia before they decide on long term settlement . Once a person has made their first arrival, i.e. Immigration, I only plan to have a single fact for the other trips either "Travelled To" or "Travelled From" for each subsequent trip with only a single place in the Custom fact. (This is not to reopen any discussion on the use of Emigration and Immigration facts as they are covered elsewhere.)

Cheers,
Robert

In Tools > Fact Types select the fact and click Edit. Then click the Advanced... button at the bottom of the Fact Definiton window. You can then choose your own format for the Summary Template in the Facts tab listing and/or the override Template for the Records Window Listings.

Robert, see the FHUG Knowledge Base Entering Standard and Custom Fields for Facts especially under Show Fact Fields in the Property Box which gives an example that exactly matches your requirement.

It relies on the standard {_place} code (or you can use the {%FACT.PLAC%} data ref) to omit the in prefix.
