Missing information list

Post by Sallion » 13 Feb 2023 14:01

Roots Magic 7 has a missing information list where you can select a fact type and it will list inviduals missing this fact. For example I could look for all my direct ancestors who do not have a baptism record. Is there something similar in FH7 or is this something I could do using a query. I know there is a query for missing from census but I am looking for a query for any fact type.

Couple of options - configure the Records Window to display that fact, so all records without it sort together, or a Query with something like remove if that fact is not null. I’m not at my desk at the moment so can’t be more precise, but that should point you in the right direction (and somebody else might be along any minute now to give you chapter and verse on the details!).

There’s a utility called FT Analyzer that gives a multitude of reports including all sorts of missing events and potential errors.
