I have a child Phoebe and her guardian was William. Her parents had died, so he was effectively her father. I can see that I can specify the relationship as adopted, etc. But there is no code for a guardian. There is even an option for more options and a relationship code, but is it possible to add to these relationship codes?

On a similar note, but less important to me at the moment, is recording a relationship as godparent/godchild. In this case, the godparent does not have parental responsibilities.

IMO the best option for a guardian is to use the Relationship of Foster, which covers all such 'parental responsibility' cases apart from formal adoption. It is not possible to adjust the Relationship codes. The more options only allow the same Relationship codes to be specified separately for each parent.

The relationship of Godparent is provided in the Baptism Event as a Fact Witness Role.
The fact sentence for the child says the godparent was <name of godparent>.
The fact sentence for the godparent says they stood as godparent at the baptism of the child on a date at a place.

The only other option is to use the Associated Person link although such links are not as well supported by FH.
