I'd like to be able to add counts to my diagrams, primarily people and family counts.
This includes the number of individuals at a generational and a diagram level. Different counts may include direct descendants (or ancestors depending on chart type), spouses/partners as well as overall totals.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to place them anywhere on the diagram with explanatory text.
Is this possible?

Re: Diagram Counts
Yes, use Diagram or right-click Insert into Diagram > Text Box.
Use the cross-hair cursor to draw the box outline. It can be repositioned and resized as usual.
Right-click in the box and choose Format.
You can then enter any text you like, in any font, and adjust the box characteristics.
Remember to use Diagram > Save Diagram As > Family Historian Chart or the text box will not be preserved.

Re: Diagram Counts
Are you hoping for an automatic way to make those various counts? The number of individuals in the diagram can be found from Diagram > Diagram Statistics. You could use a set of queries for the other numbers but they would be independent of the diagram (unless you have selectively hidden some boxes in the diagram).

I can easily add the text descriptions/prompts like this but the issue is inserting the actuals totals... I'd like them to be automatically inserted using FH functions or something like the Group and Count functionality in SQL.tatewise wrote: ↑09 Jan 2023 10:54Yes, use Diagram or right-click Insert into Diagram > Text Box.

Re: Diagram Counts
Sorry, but I don't think automatic counts are possible using the Text box features.
I don't believe any of the FH Functions would help with providing counts.
All I can think of is to write a Plugin to calculate the counts and statistics and format them into a Note somewhere and in the Text box refer to that Note (e.g. %INDI.NOTE2%) to display that Note text in the Text box.
