Renaming a Project

Post by fhugdeeseajay » 06 Jan 2023 19:33

I wish to rename a couple of my projects and tried to follow the advice contained in the 25 Nov 2020 post from tatewise.

I have selected the project I wish to rename and then clicked on the Rename option as advised.

However I keep getting a message (see attachment) advising me to close other files which have opened files in the Project Folder.
I have tried closing files but to no avail.
Please advise what I'm doing wrong and how best to proceed.

Many thanks

David

Are you running something like onedrive or dropbox.if so it might be worth pausing synching and trying again.

Also check you havent got tow onstances of fh open, or ancestral sources.

If that doesn't work, I'd close any programs that are running (including FH and any file explorer windows you have open) and then do a full restart of the computer and then try the process again.

Is there anything 'unusual' about the name of those three Projects that are hidden behind the error message?
i.e. Does it say anything about the folder name versus the Project name?
Tip: When posting screenshots try to avoid obscuring details that might be relevant by moving/resizing windows.

Have you got any of your Media files open in an application?

Thanks for all the responses.

I tried NickWalker's suggestion and switched off and restarted my laptop. Without starting the browser or anything else, I opened FH and renamed my projects without any difficulty!

Many thanks.

David
