Two Questions Re Ancestors By Generation Report.
1. Is there any way to add the Residence Fact information to the Ancestors By Generation Report?
2. Is there any way to force the report to use ahnentafel numbering rather than sequential numbering? I've read the thread at this URL but it didn't help:

You need to choose Attributes (the tab next to Events) when editing the Fact list to see and add Residence.

You could also look at these two reports by another user to see how they have incorporated Ahnentafel numbers:

I tried that as shown here and still couldn't add Residence. What am I missing?ColeValleyGirl wrote: ↑18 Dec 2022 16:54You need to choose Attributes (the tab next to Events) when editing the Fact list to see and add Residence.

Mardon, From your screenshots it seems that you have clicked the button to Add Custom Event/Attribute. If it's actually the Standard Residence attribute you want, you need to scroll down the attribute list and you'll see it there.

Thank you! I feel foolish now. It was so simple after I saw your screen shot. I should have been able to see that myself. JI guess it's just one of those days when my old brain wants to go AWOL. I appreciate your help.ColeValleyGirl wrote: ↑18 Dec 2022 16:54You need to choose Attributes (the tab next to Events) when editing the Fact list to see and add Residence.

We all have those days. I'd rather people asked than struggled.

I know how you feel. As a new-ish user of FH myself, I often "miss" seeing such options as the colour difference between the selected tab and the other tabs is quite slight.Mardon wrote: ↑18 Dec 2022 19:10Thank you! Glenn,
Try playing with colour settings, you can select different colours for selected and unselected tabs etc. There is an aweful lot you can customise this way. You don’t have to stick to the boring 50 Shades of Grey

I assumed there was a way to change the colours but I couldn't find it quickly, so moved on to more important things like my migration from my old software (and that troublesome work thing that brings in the money). On holidays soon, so will be able to spend some more time playing with FH settings.

Glenn,
IMHO It is fairly well hidden, and not at all obvious
Go toTools>Preferences>Property Box
(Other windows have the option to change colours too)
To the right of Thumbnail Size, is an innocous box labelled Colours, which, despite its close proximity, is nothing to do with Thumbnails (same goes for Captions)
Click it and you'll be presented with a long list of items, which you can individually colour.
