* Source Template/Source fields - Source Records Window

I have a customer source template for census with 7 fields, field-3 is Date of data type "Date". I capture this information for each source record, and would like to add this field as a column in the source record window. I have tried all the permutations that I can think of with no success. Can anyone advise how to add this field as a column?

So the answer to my problem was to use %SOUR._FIELD[3]%. Many thanks Helen.

Ah, which is a much better solution and delivers a consistent result across all source template types, where there is a field in the template defined as a date "~DT-" and called "Date".

I have just discovered that %SOUR._FIELD[3]% appears to be relative to those fields which contain data in the source and not the template.

As some of my sources did not have any data in my field-2 for Household, but did contain data in field-3 for Date; %SOUR._FIELD[3]% for those records returns a blank and the Date confusingly appears in %SOUR._FIELD[2]%
