Address field

Very new user,so apologies if this looks stupid.
I see that there is an address field connected to various facts, but I don't seem to be able to see an example anywhere of how to insert address details. Whenever I try, I get Place, but nothing for address.
I'm sure I'm just being stupid, and it's quite obvious after a while, just that for me, as UFT user, I can't see it.
I was hoping it may be able to help me avoid sentences such as "born in sea" if I can make sea an address.
Regards
James Butler

Not sure why or how, but have now been able to see Address field, and having altered by sentence structure, I see it will cope with "Born at sea" as I hoped.
I currently have sea as a location in UFT, and you can specify prepositions, so I have set for "at". When I transfer my data through TMG, it should be easy to look for sea as a location, and move it to address.
Cheers
James

Welcome to the FHUG James.
I'm glad you found the Address field below the Place field on the Facts tab of the Property Box.
As a matter of interest, did you change the Sentence Template in the Tools > Fact Types... definition or in the Sentence field below the Address field?
The Tools > Fact Types... option applies to all similar facts but the "at" prefix should be made conditional on the Address field having a value by using <at {address}> as explained in the Help pages. Did you find that?
Regarding importing your data from TMG, see the FHUG Knowledge Base advice
Importing to Family Historian which has a section dedicated to TMG direct import.

Thanks Mike. No idea why I couldn't see the address field first off. Probably just insure where I was going to see it. No doubt lots more questions later.
Yes, I realised I had to change the whole sentence in the template and include the conditional brackets, so as only to print when the condition is complied with.
I'm just practising at the moment as I'm on holidays overseas, but very glad I can have FH installed on two separate computers, so I can transfer my database every three months or so and keep working on it
