Error setting size of Icons in diagrams

I thought I'd have a try at placing icons for individuals in a diagram, to indicate whether they had a specific census or not.

It worked well when I set all the icon sizes to 200dpi.
200 DPI.jpg
200 DPI.jpg (8.76 KiB) Viewed 570 times
this resulted in:-
All at 200 dpi.jpg
All at 200 dpi.jpg (20.58 KiB) Viewed 570 times
- fine!

As the icons were not quite large enough, I tried changing the 1841 icon to 300dpi, but this resulted in:-
41 at 300 dpi.jpg
41 at 300 dpi.jpg (19.07 KiB) Viewed 570 times
- whoops

Is this a known problem or a new bug?

As far as I'm aware, I am using the default settings for the rest of the diagram

UPDATE When I went to change 1841 back to 200 dpi, I found the size had defaulted backed to Default!
This also happens whether I choose 250dpi or 300dpi, at least this explains how they shrunk! :D

I've just read help file, and found DPI setting is reverse to what I thought, so larger the dpi, the smaller the image (I've now changed them all to 100dpi, which works for me :D ). Still doesn't explain why 250 & 300 dpi don't work

So the only issue is that the 250 dpi and 300 dpi settings don't 'stick' but revert to Default.

Well, it seems that, as it says in the Help you mentioned, that "The default is 250 dpi."
So whenever 250 dpi is selected it quickly reverts to Default.

I cannot repeat your problem of 300 dpi reverting to Default.

What I have discovered as a bug occurs when typing explicit dpi into the Size: box instead of using the droplist.
The Size: box only allows six characters to be entered
So if it is currently showing say 100 dpi you cannot edit it to say 123 dpi which needs seven characters.
Instead, you must delete the space and enter 123dpi which immediately changes to 123 dpi.
Alternatively, delete dpi and just enter the digits 123 which immediately changes to 123 dpi.
Small values such as 50 dpi or 99 dpi are OK as they only need six characters

FWIW, you don't need to enter dpi at all, simply enter the digits. i.e I entered 50, which was accepted. (FH adds the dpi text itself).
NB largest image is at 50 dpi, FH won't accept anything lower than 50, and issues a warning

Mike (Loney), read the first line of what you have quoted from Mike Tate. That's exactly what he said!

I noticed, but he followed it by suggesting you could enter 50 dpi as they are only 6 digits! I was merely pointing out that regardless of number of numerical digits, entering dpi was not needed at all :D

I could suggest the dpi text could be left outside the box, as a label for the box!
