I have a lady who married my direct ancestor but he died and his widow married twice more and unfortunately her 2nd and 3rd husbands also died before she did; she had children with all 3. I've unlinked the children from the 2nd and 3rd husbands and the 2nd and 3rd husbands from her. However it leaves her appearing 3 times, one with a partner (my ancestor) and twice without a partner.
How can I resolve this?

Click on the "All" tab in her Properties Box.

You will see a number of "Spouse family" entries, two of which should read "<no husband>" (See example screenshot below, but mine says "<no wife>"). Click on this and press Delete on your keyboard. This will remove the appropriate Family Record.

Adrian is correct.
The reason that is necessary is probably that you had a Marriage Event or Status for the 2nd & 3rd partnerships.
Before you Unlink people it is necessary to delete the Facts and Status recorded in the Family record.
