Saving to DVD Produces Chinese Lettering

Hi folks, after years of using FH, I finally found out how to save my tree to dvd so I could share it with my family. I burnt the dvd and tried it out. It opened in my browser (Chrome) and the index worked fine.
I then took the dvd to my brother, but when he clicked on a name in the index, it came up with all Chinese lettering. Google offered to translate it to English, but nothing happened.
I took the dvd home and inserted it in my PC - Chinese letters again!
Any idea what's happening please?

Ron, It would help to know exactly what commands you used, but I guess Publish > Websites & Family Trees CD/DVDs...
Might be slightly different if you are really still using FH V6.2.7 as it says in your Profile on the right.
If you use that command again and click the Preview button (or run through the Steps in FH V6), FH should display the pages in your default browser. Do they have the same Chinese rendering problem?
If so, then use Publish > Miscellaneous Reports... and choose one of the ... (for Web, CD or DVD) reports used on the DVD.
In the Report (which presumably displays correctly) use Save Report As... > Web Page (HTML)... so it displays in your browser. Does that have the same Chinese rendering problem?

Many thanks, Mike.
My first error was not to update my profile. I am now using V7.0.15
If I click Preview it still shows Chinese characters.
However, if I save a report as you suggested, it displays fine (see attached crop).
It is so strange, as when I first burnt the DVD it opened fine, but then opened in Chinese on my brother's PC and now does so on my PC..!
I appreciate your help.

If the Preview displays in Chinese then the problem is nothing to do with the DVD as the preview is local to your PC.
It must be something in the HTML or CSS webpages that is causing the problem.
Does every tab (Home, Contact, Statistics, Index) and every Individual page display entirely in Chinese?
If so, try performing a Rebuild... to see if that cures the problem.
Have you customised the webpage options or is it a plain 'vanilla' version?
Try repeating the process for the Family Historian Sample Project.
Does its webpages have the same Chinese problem?
Try performing a PC Restart that rebuilds your Windows Profile by avoiding the Windows Quick Start.
I do NOT mean Shutdown and reboot but specifically Restart.

Hi again, Mike.
Success! (I think). I did a Rebuild and the DVD is working fine now.
Thank you so much for your help.

Ron
