I now have a Merge File, where I can select/deselect what record fields I need to merge. That's fine, but is there any possibility that I can add an extra header field to the Current Record List adjacent to the Record ID, so that I can also Sort on 'Pool'?

It isn't possible to customise the Merge Window, I'm afraid.

I can see how the pool number would be useful to help you focus on the most important people in your file. Maybe somebody will think of a workaround, but I wonder if this ought to be added to the Wish List request: Customisation of merge process
