Has someone made an Plugin or a special Query that can make an alphabetical list of all Parish in a tree. When i try to find a MRCA when i have a DNA match - the first i always looks for is if we have ancestors from the same Parish.

Kind regards

Klaus, the parish names probably appear in your Place records.
So to find those parish names we need to know your Place record naming format.
What are the comma-separated parts in your Place names?
e.g.
town, parish, county, country where Parish is in the 2nd comma-separated part.

Use Tools > Work with Data > Places and click the column header Part 2 to sort alphabetically.
That will list Place names in Parish order so you can find the ones you want.

You can do something similar in the Records Window on the Places tab.
Configure the Columns such that each comma-separated part is in a separate column.
e.g.
Town column =TextPart( %_PLAC%, 1 , 1, STD )
Parish column =TextPart( %_PLAC%, 2 , 1, STD )
County column =TextPart( %_PLAC%, 3 , 1, STD )
Country column =TextPart( %_PLAC%, 4 , 1, STD )
You can then click the Parish column header to sort alphabetically.
Then select the Place records with the desired Parish name and run the Where Used Record Links plugin to list every Individual, Family, etc, that uses those Place records with that Parish name.

If the parish names are held in the Address fields of facts then a different technique is needed.
Let me know and I can explain.
