Fact icons inside Diagram boxes

Haven’t asked a question for awhile, so I wanted to break that with this.

Is there a way/method of adding an icon to a fact line in a diagram? I mean for a birth insert an icon at the beginning of the line … Born: XXXX in YYYYY, ZZZZ or Buried: XXXX in YYYY, ZZZZ

Icons would represent the fact being articulated such as a baptism symbol to represent baptism.

Indeed if it is possible to put an icon on a fact line in a diagram, could we replace the standard text, Bapt, Marr, Occup. etc with the icon?

I understand how to assign icons to boxes, I’m really interested in icons for individual fact lines as a way to make charts look more attractive and reduce characters in the horizontal plane.

Many thanks for any help.

Hi Glenn.
The short answer is probably not. Diagram box fact descriptions can only contain textual characters.
However, there is a vast choice of characters in the Unicode UTF-8 symbols.
So investigate the Windows Character Map utility and online to see if any symbols might fit the bill.
e.g.
birth of a boy
birth of a girl
baptism
marriage
death
burial
cremation

Alternatively, Tamura Jones suggests some standard symbols in https://www.tamurajones.net/GenealogySymbols.xhtml

Another option:

You can't use an icon, but you could use a font, such as Wingdings or similar.
Then wrap a font change command around the character you want to use, remembering to condition it on the existence of the field you need by using a text if expression. Then another font change to go back to your selected font again.
