Import CSV file from my Heritage

Post by HanniganResearch » 01 Apr 2022 20:42

I have downloaded two files from MyHeritage DNA that indicates all my 16,000+ matches and the second indicates shared DNA segments. I would like to import them into a new tree to begin a project of working to the Most Recent Common Ancestor. Some prep work had been done in the past 12 months with Ancestry DNA, FTDNA, 23&me and MyHeritageDNA matches so the project (while enormous) is well down the road.
I looked at the code provided by Peter Richmond (CSV Data Load) and I think I understand the query, but uncertain how to make it work. Any guidance for running the code?
It is my understanding that this code/query will generate individual tables of data that can be used in FH7 directly - is this correct?
Thank you in advance for clearing the muddy water.

The CSV Data Load code snippet is for use in a Plugin, not a Query.
It will need a lot more code to make it useable and import CSV data into a Project.
So, NO, it cannot generate individual tables of data that can be used in FH7 directly.
See FHUG KB Family Historian Plugins.

There is an existing Flexible CSV Importer plugin in the Plugin Store, but it will only work in conjunction with predefined Facts in your Project. The data you have may need significant reformatting to be suitable for the Plugin.
