Customize Property Box Tabs - queries, Census, PLACes and Occupation

Customize Property Box Tabs seems to be in vogue at present, so it got me to thinking:

[1] Is there a way to copy/repeat an item in a TAB? The best I have come up with is to Export the TAB, then use a text editor to copy/paste/amend the lines and adjust the count and item numbers etc, then reload and delete the original.

[2] Not forgetting a Query, Report, Plugin would give a much better result, especially as a line is limited to 2 items, but the TAB is 1 click instant.

[3] Has anyone worked out the "rules" on a "2 item" line regarding spacing (i.e width, min, %)

[4] Height. Variable or Multiple works for a text field, but with a long PLACe does not wrap onto a 2nd line.

[5] PLAC:TIDY (e,g, %INDI.CENS[year=1841].PLAC:TIDY%) does not remove extra commas. Unless I am doing it wrong, it may need reporting to Calico.

[6] I then wondered on the use of the Census Tab. For me it is primarily to quickly see if a census is missing, but why not extend it show all Residences. See attached.

[7] Then I looked at occupation, there are others than for Census so I put them all on 1 TAB including census. See attached.

N.B. *.fhpbt attachments in next post (I think we are limited to 3 per post)

I haven't found a way to copy/paste within FH, and did the same as you did externally.

I should have put this in my last post, sorry. Yes, I use the Census tab just to see what is missing and I like a clean tab with nothing else on it, although it could make sense to add Residence facts. I was just thinking about doing something similar, but I realised I never (or at least very rarely) look at my data in this way so it would just clutter up my Property Box tabs. Others use the data differently, of course. You can achieve a similar effect by sorting the facts in the Fact Tab by clicking on the Fact heading ... Residence, Occupation, etc., all fall together then.

Yes a nice little sorting tip except it sorts the whole line and not by date, so that all the Laborors come before Weavers. I think TABs come in useful when there are many facts such that you can't see the wood for trees, missing census being a prime example.

Actually, none of the Qualifiers on any Data Refs are supported.
i.e. PLAC:SHORT, DATE:DAY, NAME:SOUNDEX, etc, etc...
See Wish List Ref 474 allow fields with qualifiers and function results on property box tabs that you can Vote for.

The FH Help page says: "Not all possible data references are permitted." but does not mention Qualifiers.

You're right of course ... I'd missed that!
